I would like to include additional information that is not covered in this article that I consider very important. I have been using the AFFIRM TESTING on most of my patients for over one year, and I believe it to be the most sensitive and specific test we gynecologist have today for diagnosing vaginitis. The microscopic wet mount has become archaic as a tool for diagnosing specific forms of vaginitis. Too much can be missed on wet mount. Insist on getting the AFFIRM TEST. There are only two insurance companies that will not cover it. Doc
