Treatment Of Uterine Fibroids
This is a common female problem that I see in my practice. I've added some articles on interestingly new and innovative procedures to my website that we are now using in treatment of fibroid tumors of the uterus. In my opinion,the management of fibroid tumors of the uterus consist of:
1. Observation(Not All Tumors Need Treatment)
2. Hysterectomy
3. Myomectomy Involves excision of these tumors.
4. Ablation -- Includes: Uterine Artery Embolization and Focused Ultrasound(Ex-Ablate) See article on my Home Page on the Ex-Ablate. There are some other ablative treatments such as cryo, thermal, and electrocautery that can be done at the time of laparoscopy or hysteroscopy with some success.
