I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I hope this year will bring all of you prosperity. I know in talking to so many of you my patients that this last two years have been very difficult economically for some of you. I hope and pray that our economy will improve this year and so many of you and your spouses will get the jobs you so need.
This year I hope to expand my practice to certain geographical areas in Texas that are in need of obstetrical and gynecological services. I noticed in 2010 that my office was seeing an increased number of new patients from southeast Texas such as the Beaumont area. I was rather surprised at that, and I hope to somehow attract more patients from that area. I have decided to look into how I can accomplish that. I know that patient’s referrals are very important, and I have to assume that this is the source of these new patients. Thank you for the referrals. Happy New Year.

After contemplating the issue of whether to get involved in the various social networks, a decision was made recently to set up the practice on some of the social networks. This will include Facebook and Twitter. I will more likely be set up initiallly as part of our large group, Womans Health Group. However, I may also be joining under my professional name as well. Look for me on Facebook and Twitter and more social network involvement in the very near future. Doc

I would like to encourage you to schedule your mammograms the same day you plan on seeing me for your annual exam. If possible, getting your mammogram the same day you see me makes good sense. You would need to know whether you are due for that test before scheduling it. Insurance companies can be very strict about doing screening mammograms but once every 12 months. So, check your records before scheduling. Of course, those doing a mammogram the same day as seeing me would apply to all of you who get your mammograms at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. I recommend that you schedule your mammogram to be done after your appointment to see me that day. Also, if you are due to get a repeat bone density we would also do that the same day. I believe all this makes good sense for you. You get everything done in one trip. Thanks.

I’ve been active in the last week or so in upgrading my website. I’ve mostly been tweaking some things on the site, but may be adding new content as well. Look for some changes.

I have added something new to my Home page that will greatly improve your visit. It is a Patient Registration Form that you can print simply by clicking on this area. It will bring up in a separate window a pdf file that you can print from your computer, fill it out before your visit and bring it with you. This will greatly facilitate our practice to see you sooner. We need to have this form filled out everytime you present yourself to our office as a patient in any given year. Thanks.
