| Commentary: The following foods are considered good natural sources of Omega-3: Salmon White tuna White fish Halibut Crab Scallops Shrimp Nuts: Cashews, almonds, macadamias, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, walnuts Flaxseeds Squash Collard greens Kale Brussels sprouts Note: I consume a lot of nuts. I love them. I might add that another good source of Omega-3 fatty are peanuts and "natural" peanut butter. Do not eat the brands of peanut butter that consist of "hydrogenated" unsaturated fats. This process of hydrogenation keeps the product solid on the shelf. These fats are considered trans-fats and not good for your heart. Buy the peanut butter that you have to stir and place it in the refrigerator. Doc |
