Ex-Ablate 2000>>>IT'S HERE!!!     SIGHTLINE HEALTH

Commentary:

This new and innovative procedure is coming to Houston and I am proud to be part
of it.  The
Ex-Ablate 2000 is a newly-developed focused ultrasound machine that has
been approved in late 2004 for the
non-surgical ablation of fibroids of the uterus.
This machine is attached to a MRI machine to image the fibroids as they are ablated.
I'm excited about this new procedure because it will offer a new alternative to
treatment of fibroids.  A group of obstetrician-gynecologists in The Texas Medical
Center was formed to setup the
First Ex-Ablate 2000 in Houston for the ablation of
uterine fibroids.  I am part of that group.  We hope to have the machine setup very
soon.  The machine will be located in a center near The Texas Medical Center.  We
will start screening patients for the procedure as soon as we have the machine
operable.  Not all patients with fibroids will be candidates for the procedure.  There
will be an initial screening exam, and we will be following strict protocols to ensure
that only those patients who are appropriate candidates will be done.  Some of the
physical limitations will be related to the location and number of fibroids.  I will keep
you posted as we get closer to being operational.  Most likely, I will post our
new
center's
website on my website when it is completed.  So if you have interest or know
someone who might be interested, they could visit the website to set up a screening
appointment.  Most likely if you call my office, I'll refer you directly to the center for
scheduling.  Doc
